In Estonia living Dutch conductor Bert Langeler, Estonian Wind Music Society, Singing and Instrument Playing Society Con Vivo will organize in cooperation with town Võsu and Vihula parish a Music Festival and Summer Academy for wind players, singers, conductors and audience “VÕSU VIIS 2009”

Target group:
- Players and singers, who are interested of new experience playing together with different players, soloists and conductors, communicating other musicians, connection and cooperation between amateurs and professionals.
- Conductors, who are interested to see, how other conductors work, getting new ideas from mentors, passive (auditing others conducting, analyzing scores and rehearsal videos, representation of new materials) and active (passive + conducting the piece) participation, special workshops with different themes.
- Young composers, who can offer their pieces (from organizers time limit, technical level, organizers can choose one to play with festival orchestra, little award for winner, one new piece every year), possible arrangements from students
- Audience, who can enjoy good music.

Conductors and teachers:
- Bert Langeler (Netherlands, wind band repertoire)
- Endel Nõgene (Estonia, stylistics and interpretations)
- Kaido Otsing (Estonia, arrangements)
- Valdo Rüütelmaa (Estonia, wind band)
- Karmen Puis (Estonia, singing)
- Taimo Toomast (Estonia, singing)

- opera
- light music (a la "estraadiraadio")
Scores and parts will be available in beginning of May 2009

- Special workshop, what's happening if some important instrument is missing, but concert must be done. There is no problems, only solutions. There are only right answers. (Bert Langeler)

Wednesday 15.07.2009:
10:00 - team arrival, preparation of notes, rooms, materials etc.
12:00 - participants arrival, personal belongings to school or hotels
13:00 - lunch
14:00 - 1st rehearsal of festival orchestra (reading session)
17:00 - free time (time for small ensemble or sports etc.)
19:00 - supper
20:00 - opening ceremony of the festival (few pieces each orchestra)
             Longer concert of one participant
21:00 - Night-concert outside of Võsu

Thursday 16.07.2009:
09:00 - breakfast
10:00 - 2nd rehearsal of festival orchestra
13:00 - lunch
14:00 - workshops (singers, conductors, brass, wood)
17:00 - free time
19:00 - supper
20:00 - concert of one or two participants
21:00 - Night-concert outside of Võsu

10:00 - 3rd rehearsal of festival orchestra

14:00 - 4th rehearsal of festival orchestra

19:00 - supper
20:00 - GALA-concert all together with festival repertoire (all workshops + festival orchestra repertoire)
22:00 - Night-concert outside of Võsu
          - party for participants

Sunday 19.07.2009:
09:00 - breakfast
10:00 - leaving Võsu, driving to Tartu
13:00 - all participants arrival to Tartu, lunch
14:00 - little rehearsal somewhere if needed
16:00 - GALA-concert no. 2 (& ending of festival "Võsu Viis") at main stage of Hanseatic Days of Tartu
18:00 - supper
19:00 - leaving Tartu
